They must understand the use, composition, and effects of drugs in order to prepare prescriptions, ensure correct doses, and prevent harmful interactions. A minimum of 64 credit hours are required for admission to the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Pharmacy. Students applying to other pharmacy schools should check their admissions requirements.
